The official kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ project “SUSTAINSafe – Agro Hazardous Waste Education for a SUSTAINable and Safer Future”, was held online.

Coordinated by SUDOTIM AS - Romania, in collaboration with Smart Agro Hub, RMR P.C. I.K.E. - Greece, and @Erenler İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü - Turkiye, the project aims to strengthen green skills in Vocational Education and Training by tackling one of agriculture’s most pressing challenges, agro-hazardous waste management.

During the meeting, partners presented their organisations, outlined the project's key activities and set the roadmap for the coming months:

- Development of the SUSTAINSafe Digital Handbook – a multilingual, interactive guide on safe and sustainable waste management practices.

- Creation of the E-learning Platform featuring 8 interactive training modules.

- Organisation of a 5-day LTTA in Larissa, Greece to train VET professionals and promote hands-on learning.

- Implementation of a strong Communication, Dissemination, and Sustainability strategy to ensure lasting impact and adoption of project results.

With a duration of 12 months, SUSTAINSafe will:

 1. Equip VET learners, professionals, and SMEs with the knowledge and skills to handle hazardous agro-waste safely.

 2. Support EU Green Deal priorities through innovative, sustainable waste management education.

 3. Engage over 7,500 stakeholders via webinars, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
